Lend Me Your Ears!CrossWord Bible Ministries is in the planning phase of what we consider to be the most important component of the "three-fold plan" for "Reaching the Community for Christ." The most difficult part of any Bible teaching ministry is finding "the ears to hear" the message. Every person has the freedom to exercise volition (personal choice) when it comes to "hearing the words of Christ" (Romans 10:17). If our ministry requires "ears to hear" (and it does), and if volition is the issue (and it is), then the best way to reach those "ears" is to "borrow" them during the morning and evening commutes. Everyone listens to the radio when they drive, so if we could gain access to the airwaves, then we can gain access to the "ears to hear" the message of Christ. Through God's marvelous grace, CrossWord Bible Ministries will purchase 1-5 minute Radio "spots" in order to broadcast 1 minute Gospel messages along with 2-5 minute teaching messages. The teaching messages will focus on subjects such as major doctrines of the Christian faith, a survey of the books of the Bible, and basic foundational principles necessary for Spiritual growth. The Radio ministry also gives us an avenue to promote the luncheon Bible Studies (times, places, and lessons), website, and Monthly Bible Study Bulletins. We at CBM Inc. believe that the Radio Ministry is the catalyst for all other facets of our ministry, however airtime is rather expensive. So we will wait patiently on the Lord to move in the hearts of Christian men and women who believe in the Radio Ministry, and have the desire and the means to support such an endeavor. We will continue to make the Radio Ministry an issue of consistent prayer and supplication before the Father, and ask that you do the same as well. If it is His will (and we believe it is), then we will wait patiently on Him to bring it to fruition.
